We got the second offer for the condo in Marina Bay. It's for 330! Now this is a nice condo. It's right on the bay, there's a wonderful long bay front trail to walk/bike/jog/blade, it's very convenient to BART, it's close to Berkeley and everywhere else. It's repainted, retiled, new appliances. It has a private patio with room to garden (actual dirt to garden in, in addtion to the concrete patio). It's also a grand total of 734 sq ft. So. 330? That's obscene. Given that our gorgeous hand-crafted log cabin on 5 acres is costing us 255 - well I guess that's why they invented the phrase "take the money and run," eh? Our realtor is a little concerned that it may not appraise quite that high, so we may end up with a little less. Still, this offer is a much better offer than the 299 one, in all the other ways as well, so I'm sure we'll take it and hope it actuallly goes through.
This week has been harder than it should be given that we've had really good news (being approved for our log cabin mortage, getting 2 offers for the condo, the museum stuff, /e finally got paid, etc.). Probably straying into too much information territory here, but I must be premenstrual. It's no fun at 100 degrees.
